When you enable the Slack integration, it pushes all notifications related to your projects and styleguides to the selected channel by default. You can change this setting anytime and select which notifications Zeplin will send to your channel.

Slack brings all your communication together in one place. It’s real-time messaging, archiving and search for modern teams.

☝️ For now, it’s only possible to customize which notifications get sent to your Slack channels from the Web and Windows apps.

Connecting Zeplin to Slack helps you and your team stay up to date with notifications about updates and messages in your projects and styleguides. When the Slack integration is enabled for a project or styleguide, Zeplin will automatically send notifications to your Slack channel.

Adjusting Slack preferences in a project

From the Web app (https://app.zeplin.io/) and Window apps, go to the right panel in the project’s dashboard and click on the settings icon next to the Slack integration then select “Preferences...”.

This will reveal a panel where you can select what type of notifications get pushed to the Slack channel:

Here are more details about the type of notifications that Zeplin can send to your channel about your project:

Screens - When a screen is added to your project
Screen versions - When a screen has a new version
Components - When a component has been added, removed, or updated in the project styleguide
Text style - When a text style has been added, removed, or updated in the project styleguide
Spacing tokens - When a spacing token has been added, removed, or updated in the project styleguide
Notes - When a new note is added to a screen
Replies - When a new reply is added to a note
Members - When a new member is added to the project
Extensions - When an extension is added or removed
Project status -When a project is archived or activated

From the Web app (https://app.zeplin.io/) and Window apps, open up a styleguide: on the right panel in the project’s dashboard click on the settings icon to the right of the Slack integration and select “Preferences...”.
